There are many different types of programs and initiatives aiming to support women, people of color, low-income, first generation college students, and other underrepresented minorities in STEM. Some of these programs may focus on getting younger students interested in STEM, while others may be dedicated to fostering a community for college students currently enrolled in STEM programs. Whether a program works to teach, support, mentor, or advocate for these individuals, they help make sure STEM is diverse and inclusive.
While many programs and opportunities may be on pause due to the pandemic, there are still many initiatives and networks working hard to support and mentor people in STEM.
Please let us know about any programs or initiatives you may have heard of or participated in! Whether it’s nationwide or location-specific, we want to help spread the impact they can have!
